Children and Families

At Makor Hayim, we are building a community for and with our children. We want them to grow up surrounded by people committed to caring for them, growing with them and helping them meet the world. It’s too heavy to do everything alone; this includes parenting, and being responsible for your children’s Jewish formation.

We want our children to grow up in active conversation with Torah, building friendships and showing up for each other through acts of chesed (loving-kindness), engaging joyfully with Jewish ritual, and feeling empowered to make a unique contribution to their community and the world.

We offer the following regular family services and events:

  • Kulanu – a monthly intergenerational family service that welcomes everyone
  • Challah Time – Monthly Challah and Shabbat-making for children and their families
  • Parsha Parade – Monthly interactive Torah learning for young families

We are a new and burgeoning community which gives us the opportunity to build a high-quality, innovative children’s programme together. If this excites you, get in touch here to see how you can get involved!
