Attending in person

Most of our events are held in a public venue in Willesden.

  • The venue is step-free from the street
  • The front door is approx 60 cm wide. Alternative wider access is available, please get in touch if this is required.
  • There is on-street parking available a short (~100m) walk away; eligible Blue Badge holders can use parking right outside the venue
  • There is an accessible, gender-neutral toilet
  • There is an outdoor area which attendees are free to use
  • We aim to provide a designated quiet space at every event, although this isn’t always possible due to room availability.

Some of our events are held in other locations, including Builders’ homes. Please check the advertised location when registering, and if you have any questions about accessibility at a specific event, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Attending online

Wherever practical, we run all our services and events as hybrid in-person and online. We try to give the same experience whichever mode of attendance you choose, so online services are fully interactive.

Food, Allergies and Kashrut

If you are joining us for an event and have a food allergy, intolerance or other dietary requirement, please indicate this when registering and we will be able to advise you further.

We label dishes containing allergens so that you can avoid eating these. If you need us to ensure that an allergen is not present at all in the event space, it is essential you tell us in advance so we can make prospective chefs aware.

Please note that since we cannot inspect individuals’ kitchens, Makor Hayim cannot guarantee food hygiene processes or the absence of particular ingredients in home-cooked dishes.

All food served at Makor Hayim is vegetarian. We don’t insist on kosher labelling for vegetarian pre-packaged food.
